Their staff works to improve information and personnel exchanges within the operating companies and improve efficiencies by combining common processes and procedures.

Patrick S. Jury, CEO/Chairman | Back to Top
Jury was named president and chief executive officer of the Iowa Credit Union League in 2006. He joined the credit union movement in 1989 as vice president, government affairs and then as COO of the Iowa Credit Union League. He also serves as the CEO/Chairman of Affiliates Management Company; chairs the boards of Community Business Lenders and TMG Financial Services; as a director on the CUNA Board and the WOCCU Board of Directors. In addition, he represents credit unions on the executive committee and board of directors of SHAZAM, Inc., the state’s EFT organization for financial institutions. Jury is the past president of the Iowa Society of Association Executives and currently serves on the Local Selective Service Board. Jury formerly served as a board member of CUNA Strategic Services and was an executive committee member of the Iowa Taxpayers Association. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from Drake University, is a graduate of the Institute for Organizational Management Program at Stanford University and has achieved the Certified Association Executive Designation (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives.

Jeff Russell, Chief Strategy Officer | Back to Top
Jeff Russell serves in dual roles as the Chief Strategy Officer for AMC and the President and CEO of TMG Financial Services. As the Chief Strategy Officer he assists AMC in guiding and shaping the strategy for all operating companies. As the President/CEO of TMGFS he is responsible for the overall strategic direction, as well as the financial performance and operations of the business. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to TMG and Senior Executive for CU Structured Finance. Jeff serves as a board member for Dwolla Corp, as a board member of managers for Cooperative Payroll Solutions, and on the advisory committee for Coopera Consulting. Jeff was an inaugural member of Filene Research Institute’s i3 program, which is a work group of innovative, insightful and energetic credit union professionals who are in a position with substantial responsibility in a credit union or credit union organization.

Murray Williams, Chief Administrative Officer | Back to Top
Murray Williams is the Chief Administrative Officer of AMC and is responsible for alignment, integration and efficiency across AMC's operations. He also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Iowa Credit Union League. In this role, Williams manages ICUL's operations while overseeing all dues and fee-based services, and providing integration with ICUL subsidiaries and partners. Williams has been with ICUL and its subsidiaries since 1996, most recently as Vice President. He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation through the American Society of Association Executives, his MBA from Iowa State University and also completed his BA with honors at ISU. Williams has been inducted into the International Executive Volunteer Corps for the World Council of Credit Unions and is a former chairman of the national Public Relations Society of America's Association/Nonprofit Section. He sits on several community and industry committees, and is a member of the Iowa and American Societies of Association Executives.

Michael Powers, CFO | Back to Top
Michael Powers was named chief financial officer of AMC in June 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry having held senior positions in several banking and insurance companies after beginning his career at the public accounting firm KPMG. He graduated with a bachelor of science in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a CPA certificate.

Anne Whatley is the general counsel of AMC. In her role Anne provides company-wide contract management,
coordinates work with outside counsels when necessary, and manages other legal and regulatory risk mitigation activities.
Since 2002, she has worked in a leadership capacity for the Iowa Credit Union League and PolicyWorks,
most recently as Vice President of Regulatory Strategy. Prior to joining PolicyWorks, Anne worked as an
attorney with the Des Moines law firm of Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C. She received her law degree from the University of
Iowa College of Law and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Monte Berg, Senior Vice President of Finance, Veridian Credit Union | Back to Top
Monte Berg has served as senior vice president of finance at Veridian Credit Union for the past 18 years. From 1984 to 1990 he was an examiner with the Iowa Credit Union Division. Berg has served on the Iowa Corporate Central Credit Union board of directors since 1996 and is currently the treasurer. He served as treasurer of the Black Hawk Chapter of Credit Unions from 1993 to 1998. Berg earned his baccalaureate degree from Iowa State University and his MBA from the University of Northern Iowa. He serves on the Cedar Valley United Way Finance Committee, is a member of the Iowa Society of Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Tim Chapman, CEO, Members Community Credit Union | Back to Top
Tim Chapman has been with Members Community Credit Union in Muscatine since 1991 and has served as the CEO since 1996. During his time at Members Community, the credit union has grown from $14 million in assets to more than $44.7 million today. He has been a board member of the Iowa Credit Union League from 2001-2004 and again from 2008 –present and is currently serving as vice chair. Chapman also serves on ICUL’s Stabilization Fund Committee and Finance Committee. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University in 1987 and is a 2001 graduate of the CUNA Management School. Chapman is active in his community serving as a Muscatine Chamber of Commerce Committee volunteer, a member of the Muscatine Financial Literacy Coalition, and involved with several school related activities.

Joe Hearn, COO, Dupaco Community Credit Union | Back to Top
Joe Hearn is the chief operating officer of Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque. Hearn most recently served as Dupaco's executive vice president of marketing and public relations and has been with the credit union for more than 21 years. In addition to having received local and national awards for marketing excellence, Hearn also serves as chair of the Iowa Credit Union League board of directors and as an advisory board member of Coopera Consulting. In 2007 Hearn received his Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation from the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES). Locally, he is involved with the United Way, the Dubuque Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, the Asbury Eagles Club, and has served on Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce committees. Hearn is a 1986 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Loras College.

Jenny Lorenz has been with Linn Area Credit Union in Cedar Rapids for more than 22 years and has served in a management capacity throughout her career. Prior to joining Linn Area she worked for a commercial bank. Lorenz has served on the board of the Cedar Valley Chapter of Credit Unions in various positions, including president, and serves as the chapter’s legislative representative. She is currently the president of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation and president of the Iowa Council of Credit Union Executives Society. Lorenz earned her baccalaureate degree from Upper Iowa University in 1983 and earned her CCUE designation in 1996.

Monica Fischer, Consultant | Back to Top
Monica Fischer serves as a consultant to Iowa nonprofit organizations as a representative for a private charitable foundation that provides anonymous financial investment in the human and social services sector. Prior to beginning this work in 2006, Monica served for more than 12 years in state government, including as Deputy Director of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, Communication Director for the Iowa Finance Authority and Press Secretary in the Office of the Governor. She is active with the Iowa Council of Foundations and the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines and has served on several nonprofit boards. She received her Master of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa.

Tom Kuehl, Consultant | Back to Top
Tom Kuehl has been active in the financial services industry in Iowa for more than 30 years most recently serving as president and CEO of The Members Group (TMG). He also served chief operating officer of AMC from 2008-2011 and as the president of Iowa Corporate Central Credit Union from 1981 to 2008. Before joining TMG, Kuehl worked for Postal Finance Company and First National Bank in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1974 and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969.
