Pat Jury

Patrick S. Jury, CEO/Chairman | Back to Top
Jury was named president and chief executive officer of the Iowa Credit Union League in 2006. He joined the credit union movement in 1989 as vice president, government affairs and then as COO of the Iowa Credit Union League. He also serves as the CEO/Chairman of Affiliates Management Company; chairs the boards of Community Business Lenders and TMG Financial Services; and has recently been elected to the CUNA Board of Directors. In addition, he represents credit unions on the executive committee and board of directors of SHAZAM, Inc., the state’s EFT organization for financial institutions. Jury is the past president of the Iowa Society of Association Executives and currently serves on the Local Selective Service Board. Jury formerly served as a board member of CUNA Strategic Services and was an executive committee member of the Iowa Taxpayers Association. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from Drake University, is a graduate of the Institute for Organizational Management Program at Stanford University and has achieved the Certified Association Executive Designation (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives.

Tom Kuehl

Tom Kuehl is the chief operating officer of AMC. He has been active in the financial services industry in Iowa for more than 30 years. He also serves as president and CEO of The Members Group (TMG) and served as the president of Iowa Corporate Central Credit Union from 1981 to 2008. Before joining TMG, Kuehl worked for Postal Finance Company and First National Bank in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1974 and served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969.

Michael Powers

Michael Powers was named chief financial officer of AMC in June 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry having held senior positions in several banking and insurance companies after beginning his career at the public accounting firm KPMG. He graduated with a bachelor of science in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a CPA certificate.

Kelly G. Wadsworth

Kelly G. Wadsworth, SPHR, Vice President of Human Resources | Back to Top
Kelly Wadsworth is the Vice President of Human Resources for AMC. He received his Masters Degree from Utah State University and has more than 15 years experience in Human Resource Management. He earned his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation through the national Society for Human Resource Management. He has expertise in all aspects of talent management to recruit, develop and retain the best staff for the company, aligning the workforce to the organization’s strategic direction and to deliver on its goals and strategic plans. Prior to joining AMC, Kelly held executive level HR positions with West Corporation and Steelscape Inc.


Anne Whatley

Anne Whatley, General Counsel | Back to Top
Anne Whatley is the General Counsel of AMC. In her role Anne provides company-wide contract management, coordinates work with outside counsels when necessary, and manages other legal and regulatory risk mitigation activities. Since 2002, she has worked in a leadership capacity for the Iowa Credit Union League and PolicyWorks, most recently as Vice President of Regulatory Strategy. Prior to joining PolicyWorks, Anne worked as an attorney with the Des Moines law firm of Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C. She received her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Monte Berg

Monte Berg, Senior Vice President of Finance, Veridian Credit Union | Back to Top
Monte Berg has served as senior vice president of finance at Veridian Credit Union for the past 18 years. From 1984 to 1990 he was an examiner with the Iowa Credit Union Division. Berg has served on the Iowa Corporate Central Credit Union board of directors since 1996 and is currently the treasurer. He served as treasurer of the Black Hawk Chapter of Credit Unions from 1993 to 1998. Berg earned his baccalaureate degree from Iowa State University and his MBA from the University of Northern Iowa. He serves on the Cedar Valley United Way Finance Committee, is a member of the Iowa Society of Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Pat Drennen

Pat Drennen, CEO, 1st Gateway Credit Union | Back to Top
Pat Drennen has been with 1st Gateway Credit Union in Camanche since 1988 and has served as the CEO since 1992. During his time at 1st Gateway, the credit union has grown from $8 million in assets to more than $58 million today. He has been a board member of the Iowa Credit Union League since 1992 and is currently serving his second year as board chair. Drennen is also chairman of CUPAC Trustees, the Iowa credit union state Political Action Committee. He received his bachelor's degree in finance from Iowa State University in 1987 and is also a graduate of CUNA Management School in Madison. Drennen is active in his community and currently serves as treasurer of the Camanche Kiwanis Club, is a Eucharist minister for the Catholic Church of the Visitation and is a certified high school basketball official in both Iowa and Illinois.

Joe Hearn

Joe Hearn, COO, Dupaco Community Credit Union | Back to Top
Joe Hearn is the chief operating officer of Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque. Hearn most recently served as Dupaco's executive vice president of marketing and public relations and has been with the credit union for more than 21 years. In addition to having received local and national awards for marketing excellence, Hearn also serves as vice chair of the Iowa Credit Union League board of directors and as an advisory board member of Coopera Consulting. In 2007 Hearn received his Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation from the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES). Locally, he is involved with the United Way, the Dubuque Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, the Asbury Eagles Club, and has served on Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce committees. Hearn is a 1986 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Loras College.

JoAnn Johnson

JoAnn Johnson, Former Chairman, National Credit Union Administration | Back to Top
JoAnn M. Johnson, recently completed a six-year presidential appointment, the last four as chairman, at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the federal agency that insures approximately 8,000 not-for-profit credit unions and regulates all federally chartered credit unions. As chairman, she was successful in implementing effective regulatory policy and had oversight of a budget of more than $150 million and approximately 950 agency staff. Prior to her service at NCUA, Johnson was an Iowa Senator from 1994 to 2001 and had chaired both the Ways & Means Committee and Commerce Committee. She worked in a bi-partisan effort to pass meaningful legislation in the areas of taxation, financial services, and insurance. Respected for her organizational skills and work ethic, Johnson has directed a number of successful political campaigns. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa.

Jenny Lorenz

Jenny Lorenz, Executive Vice President, Linn Area Credit Union | Back to Top
Jenny Lorenz has been with Linn Area Credit Union in Cedar Rapids for more than 22 years and has served in a management capacity throughout her career. Prior to joining Linn Area she worked for a commercial bank. Lorenz has served on the board of the Cedar Valley Chapter of Credit Unions in various positions, including president, and serves as the chapter’s legislative representative. She is currently the president of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation and president of the Iowa Council of Credit Union Executives Society. Lorenz earned her baccalaureate degree from Upper Iowa University in 1983 and earned her CCUE designation in 1996.

Mark Movic

Mark Movic, Risk Management Director, Delta Dental of Iowa | Back to Top
Mark Movic is the Risk Management Director of Delta Dental of Iowa, the largest provider of dental insurance in the state of Iowa. Previously, he was vice president and chief financial officer of the Health Division of Principal Financial Group. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow the Society of Actuaries. He serves on the boards of a number of local non-profits and participates in numerous volunteer activities. Movic has been a resident of Des Moines since his graduation from Drake University in 1977.
