Iowa Credit Union Foundation Grants $50,000 to Community Organizations through Financial Inclusion Grant Program

Now in its second year, the program will distribute $150,000 total over three years to support initiatives in affordable housing, business ownership, childcare, education, employment and health access.

Now in its second year, the program will distribute $150,000 total over three years to support initiatives in affordable housing, business ownership, childcare, education, employment and health access.

Iowa credit unions nominated nonprofit partners serving their communities in these areas, and this year’s recipients represent a wide range of organizations uplifting diverse groups across both urban and rural regions of Iowa.

Recipients of the 2025 Financial Inclusion Grants include:

  • $4,500 to All Cultures Equal of Iowa in Webster City, addressing education
  • $5,500 to His Hands Free Clinic in Cedar Rapids, addressing health access and outcomes
  • $10,000 to Crisis Intervention Services in Mason City, addressing affordable housing and health access
  • $10,000 to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity in Des Moines, addressing affordable housing
  • $10,000 to House of Hope in Waterloo, addressing affordable housing, education and employment
  • $10,000 to Tapestry Farms in Davenport, addressing employment and health access

“Each year, I’m reminded of the incredible work happening across Iowa to strengthen our communities,” said Ena Babic Barnes, Executive Director of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. “These organizations are creating real change, and we’re proud to help support their efforts to improve financial well-being for all Iowans.”

For the past 30 years, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) has worked to champion financial well-being for all Iowans. Since its founding in 1995 to aid in flood recovery efforts, ICUF has dedicated more than $4.8 million in programs, initiatives and grants throughout Iowa communities.
