Gigi Hyland Joins Affiliates Management Company Board of Directors

Affiliates Management Company (AMC), the holding company of the Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL), is proud to welcome Gigi Hyland as the newest member of its board of directors.
Des Moines, Iowa – Affiliates Management Company (AMC), the holding company of the Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL), is pleased to announce the appointment of Gigi Hyland, CUDE, CCUFC to its board of directors.
“AMC has a strong reputation of innovation and empowering credit unions,” says Hyland. “I’m excited to be on a board alongside forward-thinking leaders who are passionate about strengthening communities through cooperative financial services.”
Hyland’s history of incorporating consumer financial health and cooperative principles into business strategy aligns well with the AMC family of companies’ mission to improve the financial lives of consumers. She brings a strong track record of success involving strategic leadership, research and community development.
Hyland served as the National Credit Union Foundation (The Foundation) Executive Director from 2013 to 2024 championing the advancement of “financial well-being for all”. The Foundation’s asset size doubled during her tenure as executive director. Her career history also includes seven years on the National Credit Union Administration board where she spearheaded several key initiatives, including co-authoring a policy white paper on supplemental capital and a report on credit unions’ outreach to people of modest means. Hyland currently has a seat on the National Cooperative Bank board of directors. She was inducted into the America’s Credit Union Museum Herstory exhibit and received the Maurice R. Smith DEI Leadership Award from the African American Credit Union Coalition.
“Gigi brings 33 years of credit union knowledge to the AMC board at a time when our organization is focused on expanding our offerings and advocating for the success of the credit union industry,” says AMC CEO Murray Williams. “Her distinguished background—as an advocate, attorney, federal regulator, and philanthropist—will be a tremendous asset to the board’s strategic leadership and vision.”
